Talking of Africa I would give the Chinese the same advice I would give to any investor: DON'T!
I liken the same dynamic of China trying to get a mining hold on Afghanistan where there is also said to be commercial deposits of lithium.
So, Africa and Afghanistan where the populous hate you with a passion, war is ever present, lawlessness reigns, the infrastructure is negligible, the topography and weather problematic, truth is hard to come by and corruption is rife. What could possibly go wrong.
