I'd call that inflationary, along with all the other inflationary policies he's already announced - if he wins. As for cars in the USA under a Trump/Vance despotic regime, it would quickly turn into a Cuban car crisis while the rest of the world enjoys cheaper, better quality EV's.
That said, the Dem voters have had the fear of god put up their kilts, resulting in significate shrinkage at the prospect of a 'Handmaid's Tale' environment, so I'm suggesting that we might see the biggest Dem turnout in US history at the booths to counter the crazy asse cult lead by two mad men immune from the law. With every action there is an opposite reaction.
