I haven’t read the MIN quarterly but it sounds like Wodgina is struggling to lower cash costs and folk who think this low price environment will continue obviously shouldn’t ever go into business. It isn’t sustainable and vertical integration or not, eventually loses add up.
Excluding VAT and sustaining, the production cost of #lithium hydroxide from Wodgina was ~US$10,500/t (sale price $11,667).Add sustaining back, and it means one of the globe's bigger sources of automotive grade lithium is currently unprofitable. And it's vertically integrated.
