Interested to get some thoughts from the more informed brains trusts on here than I. Couple of questions going through my peanut brain around the short position.

1) Given that there is something around 22% shorted, when the shorts start to cover, how can the price keep at a level for them to exit in a controlled manner without sending the price much higher? I would have thought once there is a clear indication that the short position is starting to reduce, it would be on like Donkey Kong to get out?

2) If there is some interest from RIO etc taking a look at PLS, once there is any word of this, surely, we would see a spike in the SP resulting in shorts covering? Price goes up, any new company looking at this goes yeah nah thanks. Or another way, why would you look at PLS with such a high short position knowing any talk of takeover would send the price higher than probably normal?
