Our EV just went for it's first "service" at 29000km, 20 or so months ownership. 1000km and 4 months before its first required interval.
Brakes have barely been used, plenty of tyre tread left (originals), not much they have to service, basically checking nothings come loose. They ended up vacuuming the interior for us, must have been looking for something to do.
Total cost about 200 bucks
Over the same distance my toyota has had:
1000km checkup, extra oil+filter (extra 180 bucks as not usually changed at 1000km)
6 month service - about 350 bucks
12 month service another 350
18 month service about 375
24 month service another 375
new set of tyres at 24000km at a cost of 1200 bucks plus 120 for a wheel alignment that didnt suck, one rear coilover replaced under warrenty.
So for an EV we have
1/8 cost on servicing so far
1/4 cost on power
still on original tyres.
