The answer to your questions is I think mentioned in the New Testament, Revelation 16:15, which roughly says:
“Behold, I am coming like a thief! No one knows when. Blessed is the one who waits patiently, keeping his shares ready for taking profit, that he may not go about hungry and naked and be seen exposed!”
