As we know (and the visitors spreading FUD), PHEV is a transition measure between ICE and BEV, an expensive one as running two drive train technologies in a vehicle is obviously more expensive.
By 2030, most of the PHEV owners will realise that BEV is a better option. Maybe rural users will still require PHEV. In the meantime, mass PHEV production alongside BEV will keep the demand trajectory steepish.
I was watching the America's Cup racing yesterday. We are seeing it with vehicles now. We will look back at a V8 Supercar in years to come and have similar thoughts to what you think comparing the two photos below. America's Cup 1920 and 2024. Which one has Lithium batteries?
