Note the jawboning in the last sentence in an attempt to cap the price rise.
At some stage, that tactic won't work, especially when demand increases and moderated/delayed/suspended operations lead to a supply deficit that won't be so easy to plug.
Their day of reckoning will happen as we know market manipulation preventing free and fair operation eventually has adverse effects. In this case, better quality Lithium projects are being canned and replaced with poor quality high cost operations that won't be capable of keeping up with the required supply growth.
