The ROW (the West) needs to move its ass, given China is now exporting circa $6 million EV's P.A (currant 2024) for circa half the price of legacy ICE. If the West's legacy car manufacturers don't start doing JV deals with China on EV's they are dead in the water. I remember saying similar here about 6 years ago - and behold - they are now well behind the 8 ball and the legacy auto world has effectively been kneecapped. The question is, how is the West going to compete in a world where the Chinese have captured the EV transition and crippled the tardy legacy boys?
In any case, the Chinese are current beating legacy at its own game and accelerating the worlds adoption of EV's with far cheaper, better-quality cars - using lithium batteries - and that is what matters to us. A fond farewell the Ford, GMH and others - alas poor Yorick...
