So you cannot give a single example to back up your claim of Chinese EVs being half the price of an equivalent ICE.
Nor can you comprehend why legacy manufactures ICE sales are still dominating the market.
You have nothing to offer more than hubris.
You've not cemented anything.
Jim Farley (Fords CEO) has always had an extremely pragmatic and progressive approach to EVs (as seen by their strategic partnership with CATL).
He acknowledges that the Chinese build more EVs than anyone, and is wisely looking there for learnings.
And you misquote his "tech" comment.
He was simply saying they have a head start on EV tech, not that he's amazed by EV tech.
It's ok though, you have nothing to worry about.
The majority of EVs sold will continue to be powered by lithium batteries. (Do not listen to the doomsayers).
And battery tech will continue to improve.
You, and other ignorant consumers like you, can continue to live in your fantasy land where you get excited by overpriced, poorly built Chinese EVs.
Where slave labour is rife and your purchase directly funds the CCP.
No one will try and stop you.
I'm sure one day you will even be able to by a properly built EV from a quality manufacturer at a price that is on par with its ICE equivalent.
The rest of us will continue to purchase the car that best suits our needs and wants, be it EV, hybrid or petrol.
