I tuned in to the webinar last night, it sounds very much like buying somebody like PLS is not on their radar for a few reasons.

    1. They believe brines are the future of low cost producers
    2. They believe Livent has DLE technology they can scale
    3. Argentinian government is offering more support and tax incentives for producers
    4. They are attracted to Canada as their hardrock deposits have renwable power sources (Hydro) and closer to the U.S market where their portfolio of refining assets will be

Interestingly PLS has acquired Latin in Brazil due its cost and government as well.

PLS valuation makes it virtually immune from M&A when we compare it to other players in the market. LTR probably would have been a sitting duck if not for GR.

I dont know what the rest of the industry is thinking, but I don't think their are any other immediate targets that come to mind. Maybe PMT and LAAC. But I wouldnt be willing to bet on it. Think we will need to see more weakness and things to settle down more post this transaction before we see move moves from big players.
