Too right. They need to plan for the grid required to support renewable generation. There is a lot of work to do. Don't blame the renewables, blame the policy or lack of. Our grid needs massive change. Currently there are wind farms and solar farms not being utilised fully due to system constraints. Not only in Europe but also this country. The grid currently needs the spinning reserve provided by FF to allow renewables to operate. Any hiccup in FF generation also constrains renewables. Double whammy. Recent example, Callide PS fault in Qld knocked out half of Qld.
