Had a close look at Ioniq 5- really like it but the 'top of the range' at present tops out around AU$82,000 or thereabouts (we like all the 'bells and whistles'). Also it will be a long wait- apparently our local Hyundai dealers are 'out of the loop', as the Ioniq is handled by a separate arm of the business. You have to register and pay a deposit, but the company isn't clear about when a buyer can expect delivery- they're allocating available vehicles to their larger markets, so if you live in a smaller city/town it could be a long wait. By the time it is readily available though, I suspect the Australian market will be spoiled for choice with a wider range of models.
