Well done. I dont think you will cop too much criticism for taking some money off the table. It is a reasonable strategy if you are sitting on a gain and I think lots of people like to get to a situation where their shares are free carried (i.e. the profit on their part sale has paid for all of the shares including the ones they now keep). I'm a little way off my first sell point but plan on following a similar approach (selling some and locking in a healthy profit then let the rest run).
