Thanks George and SC for sharing your thoghts 100% agree with your points.
However I would add one more which would be to increase the green power by adding more solar i.e. 40MW, some wind turbines 40MW and a 30MW (4h) grid forming BESS to leave the diesel ( approx 35MW) purely as back up ( providing just 10-20% of the energy). The cost would be 100-120MAUD.
That will proof key when expanding production and the investment pays back very quickly when the option is a diesel power plant. Eventually , down in the track, we could move on the fleet electrification.
