From the article above:
"industry groups slammed the regulation, with the American Petroleum Institute saying it would “make new petrol-powered vehicles unavailable or prohibitively expensive for most Americans”.
So a lowering of demand is going to result in a massive increase in cost. In which case one would expect the opposite effect - an increase of demand for EVs should produce a significant lowering of price!!!!!
