Might want to look a bit more closely at those fire reports … how many are Li-ion and how many are say LFP, NMC or any other chemistry used in cars?
I think you’ll find much of the fire risk is associated with cheap scooters and the like being abused - and yes those chemistries need some regulatory attention.
But that won’t drop Li demand - it’ll just shift the demand in chemistries to things like LFP, NMC, solid state etc etc.
