Every mechanic I know, and not stick in the mud petrol heads, but intelligent pragmatists who know more about cars and the associated running costs than yourself or myself, are buying hybrids right now. All of them. As are some motoring journalist friends of mine.
These are prudent guys too, who hate wasting a buck.
It's always entertaining listening to people that know nothing about cars somehow have an expert opinion about cars.
