I read a similar analysis the other day, SF, which touted 6 million units for 2021. Seems only a few years ago (and it was) that we were jumping up and down with glee at 1 million units for that year. My, my - what a difference a few years make in the paradigm of exponential growth, and it wouldn't surprise me if we're talking 12 million units for 2022.
In the meantime, and over those past few years, the talk of EV's and battery storage has morphed from a muted whisper to a throng of loud chatter, both in the public and government realm - with everybody and his/her pet poodle talking about the revolutionary change, which will drive the narrative to greater heights and beyond. And its all the little things too. I can't remember when I last saw a TV add for ICE lawnmowers - now all adds are for electric, and electric bikes are now the 'must-have' for the yuppies and working proletariat alike - let the peasants peddle.

Now its time for lunch were I have become the new carbon capture and storage facility for my wife's burnt offerings - heralded by the screech of smoke alarms and the appearance of my laughing neighbour appearing on his balcony with an extinguisher in hand - smart arse! .
