Should lithium producers not have less of thier supply under contract. Assist in creating a larger spot market (that is sold via the lithium producers system) so that we can get greater price discovery.
The recent shenanigans in lithium pricing has resulted in most of the profits being made at battery manufacturers and EV makers. If the pricing for lithium is just above cost and all of the producers production is via offtake then the lithium cmpany have effectively been taken over by the converters/battery makers and is now an intergrated producer with little or no profit for the miner.
