Almazbek Atambayev: Attracting foreign direct investment is a top priority of economic policy of the Government of Kyrgyzstan

"Attracting foreign direct investment is a top priority of economic policy of the Government of Kyrgyzstan", - he said.

It was noted that the Government pays special attention to improving the efficiency of investment policies and improve the investment climate in the country. Fostering investment in the private sector of the republic at the expense of substantial reduction of interference by government officials at all levels of activity of economic entities, streamlining the licensing and regulatory system, foreign trade and improving the export-import procedures.

In turn, Jean Ping Zhi expressed their interest to discuss the shape and area of ​​cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the provision of advice and practical help in attracting investments into the country.

The Prime Minister informed the guests about the intention of the Government of the Republic to establish an investment fund which will accumulate funds for major national projects in the sphere of economics and business support. Proposed to consider involvement of the Oriental Petron "in attracting investment in the railway project" Balykchy-Kochkor Kara Keche and construction of hydropower plants.
