Yes very interested in seeing what goes on with Telfer, not least as a friend of mine here in Kal does FIFO out that way.
Back on the topic I raised a week or so ago about Open Pit possibilities, mining a large cutback of the existing KB pit, which I had heard was under review by engineers here in Kal. Chatting with a current colleague, who was a former Barrick employee at Kundana, he said there was lots of work done at KB on feasibility studies to assess Open Pit works. However, he flagged low mill throughputs of the refactory ore as a hold up on the project with the current milling set up there.
It may not be good big news but Open Pit feeds from existing brownfields sites could see a large production increase to supplement the higher grade UG deposits around Kal.
