Not sure if it has received coverage on the BGS forum (sorry if I missed it) - but one of the posters (niu on ORE - Post #:30445849 - but it obviously affects all Li-investors) has raised some important (highly unprofessional) mistakes/inaccuracies made in the central "SQM to quadruple/6-fold current production" stories.
He makes a very convincing case that the likely commercial realities of the changes in the agreement with the Chilean Govt can and will be nothing like the headline-grabbing articles suggest. (But then who would imagine that Lithium shorters may resort to such tactics...??).
Further, the thread goes on to discuss the high price that SQM would have to pay the Chilean Govt for any significant production increase - which largely negates the whole "lowest-cost lithium producer SQM to flood the global markets" analysis.
Worth reading his arguments so that you can see why BGS and other high-quality deposits will still be desperately needed...
