Yeah... holding stuff for 1 year for CGT has cost me more than the potential savings on CGT. This was a 6 and a bit bagger for me and have watched it go 5...4...3...2... 1 and a bit.
Luck, just plain old fashioned luck has more to do with stocks than graphs, etc.
Not buying KDR for example @ 15c cause it was 5c the week before and watching it just keep climbing was another knee in the nads after selling A2M @ $1.34 for a quick 50%.
But on the up side I did ditch several other cliff-divers before the plummet and came out with some profit rather than 50%+ losses. (ie BAL, MUS, ASN, AGY)
