Some excellent news in there with average per/momme prices reportedly rising 34% on last year in recent auctions.
Though have to say I recently purchased a full strand of Chinese Freshwater Pearls with which I am very happy - exotic peach-gold metallics at a fraction of what it would cost for SSP's. So I am still wary that the ever improving quality of Chinese Freshwaters could continue to weigh on the price of SSP's.
One thing with ATP, they have learned the lesson from Chinese that it is innovate or die - pearls are the one organic jewel that genetics and techniques can continue to alter and improve on.
