good news for pen awaited , page-22

"Will the developments in Japan have an impact on PEN's licensing application?"
IMO,the short amswer is no.
Why? This is not intended to offend in anyway. The USA is a big country where a whole lot of people have not seen a real ocean let alone know where Australia or New Zealand are on the planet.

The news comes and goes and in the USA and unless it impacts them directly, most are not interested.
There is no way the US government will want the nuclear issue to be bigger then in needs to be so this will all fade away before our eyes. The US is even friendly with New Zealand again despite the anti nuclear policy still in place!

In New Zealand the Christchurch earthquake was front page news and headline TV news until around 7.00 pm Friday a week ago when the earthquake struck in Japan. The following day it became second and 3rd page news despite over 100 still missing, 10,000 homes to be rebuilt, and 100,000 homes to be repaired.

I guess the most interesting news item to focus on now might be the UN bombing of Libya.
