Its a waste of time phoning Kalahari's PR firm in London as they will never tell you anything useful.
What is happening in the market is that Deutsche Bank seems to be buying up shares in Kalahari for China Guangdong while they are cheap. This means that when CG comes in with its formal offer (and it will), even if it does not reduce the 2.90 pound sterling possible offer price, it will need to buy less shares to get control so will cost it less.
