IS THE government embarked on building a $43 billion white elephant and not only giving Telstra a `get out of jail' card but paying it billions of dollars to use it?
Those are the critical questions as we enter 2010 and the government's NBN -- National Broadband Network -- approaches its first birthday. With every possibility it will be functionally obsolete before it is fully built.
