Water depths for KAR's Santos blocks are reported as being 300m. This is similar to OEL/NDO's Galoc field (290-400m water depth) which utilises a simple FPSO setup - nothing complicated and nothing overtly expensive. Tupi on the other hand is at a depth of 2140m (plus another ~6km of cover) hence they have some issues and major expense.
