What would they tell the ASX? They have been consistent in saying they hoped they could commence their programme in the 3rd quarter. As you have correctly surmised, knowing the date when the rig will become available is never an exact science as there are too many variables involved. And as far as the Santos Basin is concerned, Petrobras aren't committing $117bn to develop the reserves there because they are philanthropic! KAR are sitting pretty!
