Please no, anything but oil and gas execs. :)

Even if they are not time servers who devote all their efforts to hitting kpi's, and in my experience that covers a fair percentage of o&g execs, then they are likely too anchored by what works in conventional systems.

Richard Cottee reckons that the vital breakthrough for the Australian csg industry came when he got rid of the oil and gas guys from QGC and brought in some open minded drilling techs from other resource sectors.

Remember that the boss of Woodside ridiculed the coal seam gas concept as "girlie gas" and was adament that he knew all the big Asian buyers and that none of them would buy coal seam gas.

Before it got taken over Arrow said that production from csg was pretty much a manufacturing operation and you needed execs who could deliver on efficiency and cost. Arrow said that production of csg was an entirely different skillset to that normally required by oil and gas operations (from memory they brought over an exec with loads of production experience in the US csg industry - which apart from Qld is the only place in the world that has a viable csg industry to date).

Surely there must be a young gun in one of the Qld csg companies who would relish a challenge and some working experience in France (?).
