I have one argument to put re your assessment
The big difference between the property market and the share market is debt levels.
The problem with the housing market is that almost everyone borrows money to do the deal, in many cases far too much money. As for manipulation we have seen in recent years that it too is manipulated.
Very few borrow to buy shares.
The old story of beg, borrow or steal as much money as you can, to buy the best you can, and inflation, CG will look after it is no longer true.
