where i live in Nth Qld, the house prices basically doubled during 2003, peaking in 2007

this week, a house sold in my area for 60% more than its 2001 sale price but 11% lower than its 2004 sale price

so the house price doubled over the seven years from 2001 to 2008 but today is 20% below its peak

20% correction & possibly another 5% - 10% to come in 2012
