If you read the late breaking news on Australian newspaper web site there is no details on twelve new "ineleigible"
Labour candidates apart from claim from Andrew Rob that it is so.
    Quoting from:
    http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,22791420-12377,00.html

"Mr Robb said the Liberal Party had not informed the AEC of its findings but said the issue of eligibility could be easily resolved if candidates produced the relevant documentation."

So they have not informed the Electoral Commision, prefering the time honoured practise of throwing mud hoping that some will stick.

Looks like the Lawyers Party is making sure there will be lawyers picnic for a while.

As for candidate for Wentworth, Mr Newhouse, the issue has already been put to bed, his contract had a clause that his position is automaticaly terminated if he decides to stand for elections.
Of course you can argue if you are a lawyer that it does not matter, as I said Party of Lawyers is making sure that
they will have plenty of work after the elections.
    Brian.
