Bit of a thread hijack here, but as good a place as any.
Can someone explain the attraction of this company to me? I came to have a look at it with rumours of the 408 visa coming off. At the same time, I bought quite a substantial amount of NXD.
I decided against EDU because I just cannot get my head around the way the company is run. It seems like a huge chunk of the shares are held by the Directors and senior management. The CEO seems very well paid but produces quite dreadful results each year, and results that are massively below the average for the International Education space. It reeks of being a 'lifestyle company' for a small number of related parties.
What am I missing here? I'm very interested in the education space and I think it's a good time to be in it, but both EDU and AKG seem to be perpetual underperformers.
Would like to hear the thoughts of holders.
