Personally I think what has happened is that there is a high grade component which is several hundred meters long by 50 odd meters wide. There are also a number of other moderate grade deposits or lenses in the overall resource.

Outside of this deposit envelope there has been no significant discoveries which means that the global resource estimates are very low.

I also think the constant drip feed of spectacular drill results was from the tight infill drilling over the high grade areas. You do not have these massive high grade intercepts outside of the deposit area.
