I am aware that National Nominees for example represents multiple holders. But who sit in the Broker Nominee Accounts for short periods and why do they need to when most purchases get registered directly?

The question of interest in relation to National Nominees, is which particular client(s) are churning the market in size and possibly capping the share price while doing so, and helping it to push it lower as we experienced after the recent resource announcement.

If it wasn't Buddy's National Nominee holding, whose was it ....LOL

Usually when you go looking you find that the client itself is a Nominee, that turns out to be Nominee Account domiciled in a foreign jurisdiction, who declines to disclose who the real client behind the Nominee Acount actually is, which then requires legal action to take matters further. At last years AGM this very fact was mentioned by the MD.

The churn numbers do helped to explain why promising company announcements have been sold into and how the price was crashed after the resource upgrade, and it definitely isn't the rational trading of mums and dads that is responsible. Forced margin selling is quite another matter.

The register movements for National Nominees over the last 4 months are quite instructive.

There appears to be a symmetry to the above numbers that is much more than a random phenomena with independant holders within the accounts making rational and orderly judgements about the prospects of Cudeco.

Are we seeing Corporate activity here or just normal trading?

Consider the above in the light of the fact that most genuine large holders who believe in the company for all practical purposes haven't sold or bought a single share over the 4 month period.
