no way $300m
to build a camp including all central facilities is approx $120k per room (pilbara prices. it is a 350 room camp so ends up @ $4.2m
they tried to save $ and buy dongers from thailand... when they arrived turned out none of the wiring etc was to Australain codes /standards so they had to pull them apart, rewire etc etc.
the running costs are expensive though- costs in excess of $100 per room per night (meals included) so for 350 rooms- at 66% occupancy would cost approx $8.5m per year
