Very true. If you plug your standard Tesla into your house, it will power your basic needs for two days. Not a bad back up system you think?
As the batteries get closer to solid state things will change dramatically. EVs will get a lot more miles from the charge, they will be charged a hell of a lot faster, and the batteries will reach a point where they actually outlive the life of the car.
They reckon the new EVs motors are good for 250,00k,
Soon to be 500,000k, put in a battery that can last that long too, and the entire industry is changed for ever!
You are looking at tyres and a brake service at 150,000k.
