Not aware of any poll in the last year 5 years that says otherwise. Unlike Hot Copper the Australian community is a very diverse one made up of many races, religions and backgrounds. Not everyone is a mediocre educated white conservative male who think they are the arbiter of everything Australian. You need to get out more and embrace the world - its not as scary as you think it is. No one is asking you to marry another bloke, no one is asking you to give your approval. All that Gay people are asking is the right to marry who they want - and it does not affect you in any shape or form. Pretty simple really - do you believe in freedom of the individual or do you believe in the State telling you what to do and when to do it?

Every true Liberal and every true conservative should be embracing this (Gay marriage) - otherwise it is hypocrisy in the extreme - and deep down you really understand that.
