If you're smart and start your own SMSF then you don't ever have to think about a Pension.
Who wants a Pension? Not me.
Being a self funded retiree you don't need to suck on the public teat. You'll be far better off in your old age if you manage your own money sensibly via a SMSF. Not only do you have control of how the money is invested but in the retirement stage you don't have to pay tax and you become self reliant, you can be proud of the fact that the younger generation don't have to pay extra taxes to pay your old age pension.
