When has the government ever 'raided super funds'? This is just a fear mongering. They are just as likely to raid your bank account or share portfolio.
I don't know about you, but I enjoy being able to claim a tax deduction for the $25k I put into my super fund every year. The money in the fund is taxed at only 15%, and then I withdraw tax free. This is huge.
Ask any wealthy person whether super funds are a good thing (for them).
