The bottom line here is that not that we should have simulator training mandated for all fields where it exists but rather that we cannot allow full implementation of this not to occur, primarily on economic grounds.

Reading through the cost/benefit report, it doesn't even factor in possible legal costs, payouts and disability pensions to patients affected by poor surgery.

As such the real benefit figures will be much higher.

So, politicians, please spend our dollars more wiseley on health rather than just chucking more good money after bad....Australia already has the world leader in this field, would be a shame to have the guys too busy overseas!
