ScoMo needs to listen to his base from Liberals with a small “l” and large “L” through to the liberal conservatives with a small c and a large C. Paying just attention to the extremist conservatives will be as bad as your mate Turnbull’s paying (perceived) attention to small L Libs. There is some good and bad in both extremes of the party and a sensible balance needs to be found. We’ve already seen what happens when there is a perception that the party moves too far to the left. A similar reaction can be expected if the party moves too far to the right. ScoMo will need to listen to both sides and be his own man. Not an easy path to tread.
