Had the pleasure this week working with Dr. Luiz Maracaja, Dr. Satya Achanta and Andres Thennet @ Duke University School of Medicine. Quite possibly an in-vivo imaging first on active porcine heart and lungs!! Using Optiscan Imaging Ltd's ViewnVivo confocal laser micro-endoscope - we were able to acquire real time, high resolution, cellular level images at sub-micron resolution throughout the procedure -- Next level stuff & excellent results with awesome physician scientists! Incredible research potential for deeper in-situ understanding of disease causality & associated therapy effectiveness to ultimately improve patient outcomes.
