Isnt it just as easy for us to say "sorry" for the nations past mistakes and then move on to solve the many existing problems. That is what I believe the prime minister and the leader of the opposition have jointly done today. There are many australian children who were abused by a small number of members of religous groups when under their care and until the churches involved were able to acknowlege the past wrongs to those victims and accept responsibility it was difficult for them to put the past behind them and psychologically heal. what occurred in Parliament today is the same sort of thing.
