Awarded Three Mile Hill Treatment Plant Refurbishment

Perth, 4 May 2009: Further to the ASX Announcement released on 20 April 2009, VDM Group
Limited (ASX: VMG) is pleased to announce its subsidiary, Como Engineers, has now executed the
contract with Focus Minerals Limited (ASX: FML) for the refurbishment and re-commissioning of the
Three Mile Hill gold treatment plant at Coolgardie, Western Australia.
The value of the fixed price contract is $17 million. Mobilisation will commence immediately and
orders for key pieces of plant and equipment are being placed. The refurbishment includes repairs
and replacement of a number of major items in the process plant, scheduled to achieve practical
completion to allow commissioning to commence in November this year.
