Organic market for milk is growing faster than the market for non organic and has grown 50% in the past twelve months. The move into organic product supply is a good move imo as the cost of procuring supply is at a 40% premium but this cost is easily recouped on sale of product. Given that KTD are a packaging and sales business they will most likely work on a fixed percentage of sales as a margin therefore the higher the premium the higher the profit. The other benefits are that many organic orders would be too small for our major players to worry about but a perfect size for KTD. For me it’s all about finding their place. Positioning themselves as a high end boutique supplier has many benefits.
