Thought I'd share my story with you. I know it's perhaps not the done thing for each and every person to reveal their holding for fear of coming across as gloating. Far from being a gloater, I just think it's interesting to hear people's stories.
I have exactly 2,000,000 PRR shares which I bought at around 11c each. I first entered PRR at 3.5c, but made bad decisions along the way (really very lots of bad decisions with PRR and other stocks). Once upon a time I owned 6,900,000 PRR. When I think about that it makes me feel very sick that I blew that. The money I put in was (and still is) everything I have. I don't own a property or any other asset anywhere. Some may say I'm stupid. May be I am. We'll see. A risk taker, perhaps. I don't have a pension anywhere (company or state) ... you may have correctly guessed I'm not from Australia. I took all the hard earned savings my wife and I have and we added to it little snip bits we could find here or there. When PRR hits 50c (and I think it's not unreasonable to think that it will reach 50c before end of 2012, I will have a cool A$1m. That's is a very satisfying feeling to say the least. On the other hand (though not to be greedy) I said before that my timeline is about 24 months from about now (possibly up to 30 months).
I wonder what the SP will be in 24 months from now.
Any guesses ?
There's risk involved here, but it's risk I'm comfortable with though since the worst case scenario IMO is bad data. That would be a terrible thing for my situation, which is why I plan to sell half of my shares when it reaches 50c and more than free carry from there.
The way I see it is that so long as data is positive (IIb interim anytime now/next month or two plus III interim by Dec 2012), so ong as positive, then I should be able to retire by the time I'm 45 and that's only a couple of years away.
