My two cents - I would not worry about the gap. It is all about belief on which way this market will be heading.
What we have seen so far - those retail right issues holders are keen to take profit and hence, we have this unrelenting number of sellers. Logic would say that in an uptrending market (could be very short term), people would hold off selling and wait for a higher price. Once these sellers are gone - we have a better base to move forward.
These last few days once again demonstrated - things are bad but the acceleration have slowed down. As evidenced by news coming out from the UK, Singapore and China.
